Bishop Diego’s boys basketball team made it two straight on Saturday, knocking off Thacher 67-50 in a non-league matchup at the Brickhouse.
Cardinals head coach Dean Prophet said it was a total team effort, with five players scoring eight or more points.
Devon Poindexter and Alex Ramirez played meaningful minutes off the bench, helping Bishop put together a 21-10 third quarter that created separation on the scoreboard for the Cardinals.
Elias Munoz led the Cardinals in scoring with 15 points. Poindexter and Paul Garcia also reached double digits with 10 each while Ben Kwock and Noah Tack tallied eight each.
The Cardinals (3-3) don’t play again until next Friday at the Carpinteria’s Jim Bashore Classic.
