SBCC freshman Yonha Adrabi, the No. 1-ranked goalkeeper in California, was selected to the All-WSC first team in a vote of the conference coaches. The Vaqueros (16-3-3) conceded just 14 goals this season while scoring 51 goals
Sophomore Kalum Horne, the team’s top scorer (8 goals, 9 assists), also made the first team along with freshman Pierre Mattsson (7 goals, 6 game-winners) and Roberto Santana, a freshman defender from Santa Barbara High.
Mattsson, the team’s playmaker, got hurt in the second-to-last regular season game and the Vaquero offense suffered in the last three games. After trailing 2-0 in the 88th minute of a first-round Southern Cal Regional game, SBCC made a miraculous rally to get past Hancock in penalty kicks, then fell 1-0 at San Diego City.
Defenders Branden Tangel and Arturo Alvarez made the second team as did midfielder John-Joe Slater. Nikolai Littleton (9 goals, 5 assists) and Juan Sanchez were honorable mention.
