Jenn Waddill recorded nine kills with a .560 hitting percentage and four blocks on Tuesday night as No. 13 SBCC swept Ventura on the road. The scores were 25-21, 25-18, 25-20.
Allyson Porter had 13 kills and 14 digs while Antonia Antes collected nine kills on .500 hitting and also had two ace serves. Hillary Tomas had 19 digs and setter Kelsey Soos returned from injury to contribute 10 digs and two aces.
The Vaqueros improved to 16-5 overall and 5-1 in the WSC North with their second straight win and eighth in nine matches.
“Jenn played extremely well,” said coach Ed Gover. “We were very calm and steady despite having a player out with the flu. Others stepped up and got the job done.”
The Vaqueros travel to Cuesta on Thursday.
