Santa Ynez’s Maddison Shean advanced through Monday’s CIF Southern Section Individual Championships, reserving a spot in Wednesday’s WSCGA.
Dos Pueblos’ Emily Fox did not advance, carding a round of 100 at La Purisima Golf Course in Lompoc.
Shean qualified with a score of 86, one stroke off the cut. Canyon of Anaheim’s Elizabeth Bernabe claimed the CIF individual title with a 3-over 75.
Kristin Henno, a teammate of Shean’s at Santa Ynez, also missed out on the WSCGA by shooting a 97.
