Jay Larinan started his senior season with a bang, pouring in 26 points and grabbing 17 rebounds to power Dos Pueblos to a 63-51 boys basketball win over Rio Mesa in an opening round game Tuesday at the Simi Valley Tournament.
Larinan scored from inside and outside. He had plenty of help, too. Pablo Miranda tossed in 13 points and Jackson Burke added 10. Mansai Conner battled on the boards, hauling in 10 rebounds.
The Chargers led 27-20 at halftime.
Dos Pueblos will play the winner of the Verdugo Hills-Simi Valley game at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
