Senior forward Kailyn Kugler was named First Team All-Big West and senior midfielder Jacqui Simon earned second team honors, the league announced Tuesday.
Kugler, who was the Big West’s Offensive Player of the Year in 2009, had a team-leading seven goals, as well as four assists and 18 points in 2010. Despite missing two matches with an injured leg, she led the Gauchos in goals and points. Kugler is a two-time First Team All-Big West selection.
Simon, who was named to the all-league first team as a sophomore and junior, was named the second team in her final season at UCSB. Simon had two goals and a team-leading six assists en route to 10 points.
A San Clemente native, Kugler finished her UCSB career with 29 goals, which ranks tied for sixth in school history, and 73 points, the ninth most all-time. Simon’s 20 assists ranks her ninth in school history and her 83 games played is the most ever.
In addition to Kugler and Simon, senior forward Kylie McDonald and junior defender Alyssa Benjamin were each Honorable Mention All-Big West.
