League championships earned Santa Barbara High and Cate School home-court advantage for their first-round CIF girls tennis matches on Thursday, as each highly ranked team begins its quest for a CIF title.
The Dons are seeded No. 3 in Division II and will host the winner of Tuesday’s wildcard match between Great Oak and Burbank.
Cate is the fourth seeded team in Division IV and will also see a wild-card winner on Thursday, either Cabrillo or Highland.
Channel League runner-up San Marcos learned that it will have to travel to No. 9 Beverly Hills for a first-round match on Thursday. The Normans are champions of the Ocean League.
Dos Pueblos, which features three-time Channel League singles champion Lauren Stratman, finished third in the Channel League and will host Foothill in a Wild Card match on Tuesday for the chance to face fifth-ranked San Marino on Thursday.
All playoff matches begin at 3 p.m. unless noted on the CIF bracket.
