Eve Ettinger had 15 kills with seven digs and three solo blocks as Santa Barbara High’s girls volleyball team battled through some shakiness on Tuesday night to defeat host Ventura 24-26, 27-25, 25-17, 12-25, 15-5.
“We were a little inconsistent. We’re gonna have to do better than that on the road, obviously, come playoff time,” said assistant coach Lee Carlander.
Holland Crenshaw had 11 kills with five solo blocks and Dani Rottman had 17 digs, 10 kills and two solo blocks. Lauren Capritto added 21 digs and Carlander noted that Emma Mascari came through at the service line in tough situations.
The Dons wrap up the regular season at 20-8 overall and 6-2 in the Channel League. It was the fifth consecutive year under coaches John Gannon and Carlander that the Dons have tallied 20 or more wins.
