Both the boys and girls cross country teams from Bishop Diego advanced to CIF competition at the Tri-Valley League Championships at Malibu on Thursday. The girls team finished second, led by a fourth-place finish by Christie Delgadillo (23:42). The boys, meanwhile, finished third and were led by Charlie Dentzel’s time of 19:15, which was also good enough for fourth place individually.
Rounding out the top five Bishop girls were Nicole Poindexter (17th, 27:26), Kelsey Stimson (23rd, 29:12), Greer Shull (24th, 29:19) and Kim Ruiz (29th, 33:43). Dentzel was followed by Robbie Landeros (6th, 19:35), Aaron Rubio (11th, 20:27), Matthew Grimes (14th, 20:49) and Abe Solis (34th, 24:11).
Bishop Diego will compete next at Mt. SAC on November 13th.
I believe Bishop Diego is in Frontier League, not Tri Valley.
