Tammy Panich of Glendale and Kayle Riede of Sacramento City shot 76 to share the lead after one round at the par-74 Los Serranos course in Chino Hills.
Canyons turned in a 330 and holds a slim lead over defending champion Sacramento City (333) and Irvine Valley (335) in the four-team field.
