Younger Stratman steps up for DP netters

With star singles player Lauren Stratman off playing an individual tournament in the desert, little sister Kate Stratman stepped in and beat visiting San Luis Obispo’s No. 1 and 2 players in Dos Pueblos’ 10-8 girls tennis victory on Saturday.

The DP doubles teams also came through, winning two sets apiece to seal the win.

“I was very impressed with the way our doubles played today. They were focused, wanted it bad and stayed mentally tough,” said coach Allison Golledge.

The Chargers (5-3, 2-2) play Ventura on Tuesday in a Channel League showdown.
