Providence Hall’s three-game win streak came to an end Friday afternoon, snapped at Page Youth Center by Northern California’s Woodside Priory 25-6, 25-15, 25-16.
“It was good for the girls to play against a team like that,” said Lions head coach Dale Colburn. “I told the girls, hold your heads high, you’ve been doing some great things the last couple of weeks.”
Even in defeat, Colburn liked what he saw from players Faith Emerson and Hannah Park, who steadied the Lions’ efforts in the final two games.
The Lions’ three-game win streak included victories over ranked teams Hillcrest Christian and West Valley Christian. Providence Hall’s next match on Tuesday is against another elite team in Coastal Christian.
