Alison Sharp and Ciara Turner matched each other’s 17 kills, leading Westmont’s women’s volleyball team to a 25-15, 25-19, 22-25, 31-29 GSAC victory over Vanguard.
The fourth game was tied 29-29 before Marie Trudelle recorded a kill on a feed from Candace Adema. The game ended on the next point when Vanguard committed a hitting error.

Westmont now stands at 9-8 overall and 3-5 in conference. Vanguard falls to 2-6 in GSAC play. Both teams desperately wanted the victory coming into the match with 2-5 records.
Kayta Goyich also posted double-digit kill numbers with 12.
Goyich and Sharp performed well on defense as well. Goyich collected 23 digs and Sharp 18 for double-doubles.
