Carpinteria’s boys water polo team handed Cate an 18-5 Tri-Valley League loss on Wednesday, dominating a Rams team that was short-handed with only one substitute.
The Warriors gained a 7-1 lead to start and never looked back.
Cate’s Brian Warren led the Rams in scoring with three. Greg Cusack and Tim Annick also scored for Cate, which is still seeking its first win of the season.
The Rams have two matches this weekend, hosting Nordhoff on Friday and Flintridge Prep on Saturday.
