Santa Barbara High’s girls tennis team was too much to handle for Cate on Wednesday as the Channel League power defeated the Rams 14-4.
The Dons doubles teams swept their nine sets, led by Ariana and Talia Hudson. The teams of Grace Flintermann/Stephanie Thornton and Meagan Grant/Lisa Santry both won two sets before giving way in the third round.
Mady Snider went 3-0 for Cate, which is the No. 6 team in Division IV.
Santa Barbara, the No. 3 team in Division II, improves to 9-3 on the season after winning its seventh straight match.
