SBCC football coach Craig Moropoulos came up with a unique way to slow down his team’s alarming turnover rate. The Vaqueros (1-3) have turned it over seven times in the last two weeks, including six on fumbles.
“Our linebacker, Sam Shipley, and his wife had a baby last week,” said the Vaqueros’ fourth-year coach at Monday’s Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table luncheon. “I just had an epiphany. I’m going to ask Sam to bring his baby boy, Bentley, to practice so the guys can learn how to hold onto something.”
