SBCC will be facing an undefeated American Pacific Conference football team for the second straight week on Saturday when it travels to L.A. Valley for a 6 p.m. contest.
The Vaqueros (3-4, 2-1) are third in the APC behind L.A. Pierce (3-0) and Valley (4-2, 2-0). Santa Barbara lost to Pierce 35-30 last week while Valley held off West L.A. 24-21.

SBCC’s Michael Douglas, a 5-9 sophomore from Hawaii, will be seeking his fifth straight 100-yard rushing game. He’s the No. 1 runner in the APC (89 yards a game) and has gained 133, 123, 100 and 104 yards in his last four outings.
Something will have to give when John Uribe, the third-best passer in Southern Cal, takes on a Monarch defense that’s ranked No. 7 against the pass (171 yards) and No. 7 in total defense (301 yards).
Uribe, a former Santa Barbara High star, has completed nearly 62 percent of his passes for 1,833 yards and 15 touchdowns. The Vaquero offense is also No. 7 in Southern Cal with a healthy 417-yard average..
Chad Toocheck was named APC Player of the Week after catching eight passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns. He’s third in Southern Cal with 38 receptions for 522 yards and five TDs.
