Westmont women’s soccer team picked up its first GSAC win of the season on Saturday, beating visiting San Diego Christian 3-0 at Thorrington Field.
Candace Marques put the Warriors up 1-0 in the 32nd minute on a header and Sam Kleen gave Westmont a 2-0 lead at halftime by scoring an unassisted goal.
Haley Yurtin finished the scoring off in the 84th minute, finding the back of the net after capitalizing on a play set up by Ashley Correa and Jameisha Washington.

Kleen, Yurtin and Washington were substitutes that came off the bench to provide contributions.
The Warriors outshot San Diego 19-4 in the match.
Westmont improves to 4-3-2 overall and evens its conference record at 1-1.
San Diego Christian is still seeking its first GSAC win after a 0-2-1 start. SDC is 4-4-2 overall.
