Cate’s girls tennis team bounced back from a disappointing loss on Wednesday to defeat Viewpoint 14-4 on Saturday at Cate School.
The Rams won eight of nine singles sets and six doubles sets.
Sophomore Mady Snider and freshman Marina Narain were 3-for-3 in singles play.
“It was a rewarding day to say the least, for all our players.” said Cate’s head coach Barbara DeGroot. “We have a renewed perspective on what we need to work on and how much effort we want to put into it. It’s difficult to single out performances today. Every player contributed to today’s win.”
Cate, ranked No. 4 in Division IV, will play Santa Barbara High this Wednesday and face Laguna Blanca Saturday in the first league match of the season. Cate’s record improves to 3-2.
