Bishop Diego volleyball coach Erika Lilley said her team wasn’t sharp on Thursday, but the Cardinals were good enough to sweep Villanova, 25-20, 25-20, 25-18 in a Tri-Valley League match.
“We know we could have played better,” said Lilley, whose team improved to 4-5 and 3-4 in league.
Diana Sleep and Lauren Underwood each had 10 kills and Underwood added two blocks. Nicole Tetherow posted 31 assists and six aces, and Greta Rennacker contributed with eight digs.
“She came out of nowhere,” said Lilley of Rennacker.
