Laguna Blanca’s girls volleyball team shook off Condor League foe Thacher on Wednesday, defeating the Toads 25-14, 21-25, 25-16, 25-14 at Merovick Gym.
Amanda Schulenberg posted a season-high 16 kills for Laguna Blanca. Amanda Harvey supported with 12 more put-aways. Lillie Hidges and Clara Madsen were tops on the Owls in digs while Krysta Brown ruled the net with five blocks.
“The girls came out with a ton of energy tonight,” said Owls head coach Jim Alzina. “They knew it was going to be a tough match.”
It was the second league win for No. 4 Laguna, which plays again on Friday night when it hosts No. 3 Viewpoint. That marquee matchup begins at 6 p.m.
