Rubin converted a corner kick from Jaclyn Frankenberger and Schmidt scored on a breakaway in the second minute of the second half.
“That was a good performance,” said coach John Sisterson. “Their goalkeeper made some great saves in the second half on Margot (Valenzuela) and Jessica (Domenichelli).”
Domenichelli, who has 13 goals, had her six-game goal-scoring streak halted. Valenzuela fired a free kick off the crossbar in the 90th minute.
The Vaqueros travel to West L.A. on Tuesday for a 1 p.m. game.
