San Marcos’ boys water polo team shut out Kimball in its first game at the DeLong Tournament in Modesto, but was stopped in the second game by Lodi 10-5.
The Royals will play three matches on Saturday in the 9-through-16 bracket.
Tyler Lisea scored a team-high five goals in the two games. Ben Battles and Spencer Kemp scored twice. Royals starting goalie Chris Bebb played in the field in the fourth quarter of the first game and tallied two goals. Bebb added eight saves in the cage.
