Providence Hall’s girls volleyball team has assured itself of at least a .500 record in its first CIF season, sweeping Trinity Classical 25-19, 25-16, 25-20 on Saturday to up the Lions record to 8-7 with one match to play.
The Lions can lock up a winning season with a victory in their final match on Wednesday against Midland.
Saturday was Senior Day and for the Lions that means Hailey Barroca. The team’s one senior recorded a kill in the match after getting the honorary start.
Assistant coach Laura Trudelle said the team “shared the wealth today” and got many notable performances. Among them, Hannah Park collected six kills and 11 digs. Faith Emerson equaled Park’s six kills.
