Santa Barbara’s sister act of Talia and Ariana Hudson dominated their opponents to lead the Dons to a 10-3 win at Beverly Hills in a battle of CIF Division 2 top-10 girl tennis teams on Tuesday.
The match was called when rain showers came through the area.
The Hudsons rolled to 6-0, 6-0, 6-1 set victories, and No. 3-ranked Santa Barbara won its sixth straight match to improve to 8-3. Beverly Hills is ranked ninth.
“They can’t do much better,” Santa Barbara coach Steve Geremia said of the Hudson twins.
The doubles tandem of Kaitlyn Rodnick and Stephanie Thornton were down a match point and pulled out a 7-6 win at No. 3 doubles.
Taryn Mjelde went 2-0 in singles.
“She competed well and played steady tennis,” said Geremia.
