Hailey DeBoer and Taryn Mjelde each won two sets in singles to pace Santa Barbara High’s girls tennis team to a 16-2 rout of Buena in a Channel League match at home on Thursday.
The win was the eighth straight for the Dons, who are ranked No. 3 in CIF Division 2. Their last loss came against Campbell Hall, the top-ranked team in Division 1.
Santa Barbara coach Steve Geremia used a variety of player combinations in doubles. In all, the Dons played eight doubles teams and lost only one set.
Santa Barbara improves to 10-3 and 5-0 in Channel League.
