Santa Barbara finished seventh out of 24 girls tennis teams at the All-American/Dana Hills Coastal Championships on Saturday.
The Dons fell to Peninsula 7-1 in the fifth-place semifinals and came back to beat Iolani from Hawaii 5-3. Peninsula is ranked No. 4 in CIF Division 1 and the Dons are No. 3 in Division 2.
Taryn Mjelde posted an 8-0 pro-set win against Iolani and combined with Talia Hudson for an 8-6 win in doubles. Meagan Grant and Lisa Santry each won singles sets and the doubles team of Stephanie and Karina Thornton captured a set win.
