Amy Davis had the hot hand for the Carpinteria girls volleyball team on Tuesday, pounding 16 kills with just three errors as the Warriors picked up a 25-20, 19-25, 26-24, 25-20 win at Santa Paula.
“She was on fire, and I just kept telling my setter to go to her no matter what,” said coach Katie Dolge of Davis.
The setter, Genny Annable, racked up 28 assists with four aces for the Warriors (3-10, 3-4), who play at Malibu on Thursday.
Dolge said she was particularly happy to see her team bounce back from a lackluster third set to finish the match off strong.
