Wednesday’s Condor League girls tennis match between Laguna Blanca and Thacher came down to the wire. Lauren Conk, Lucie Hartmann and the Owls walked a tight-rope to a 9-9 victory over the Toads in a match that was decided on overall games won.
Laguna Blanca was awarded the league win thanks to a 77-75 games advantage after Conk and Hartmann pulled through in the day’s final set 6-4.
Arabella Watters and Olivia Liebman did their part for the Owls, securing six set wins in singles.
The Owls improve their season record to 5-4.
