The outcome of Thursday night’s Channel League showdown between Dos Pueblos’ girls volleyball team and Santa Barbara was reflected in Monday’s new set of CIF Polls, which has the Chargers in Division I-AA’s top-10 for the first time this season.
The Chargers’ promotion came at the expense of the Dons, who fell out of the rankings. The two teams meet again at Dos Pueblos on October 19.
There was no change to the top-10 in Division I boys water polo. Three Channel League schools are amongst the leaders, with Dos Pueblos leading the way at No. 5, Santa Barbara No. 9, and Ventura tied for No. 10.
In girls tennis, Santa Barbara High’s girls tennis team remained in the No. 3 position in Division II while the Cate Rams fell two spots in Division IV to No. 6.
