Dos Pueblos’ girls volleyball team knocked off Santa Ynez 25-16, 25-13, 25-23 on Wednesday, two days before the Chargers begin play in the Tournament of Champions.
“Everybody played tonight and everyone did well,” said Chargers head coach Todd Garrett.
Hannah Harris recorded five digs and Hannah Colburn collected six blocks for DP against Santa Ynez, which is the No. 2 team in Div. III-AA. Senior Nicki Brown posted a team-high nine kills and sophomore Maddie Leiphardt dished out 13 assists.
Dos Pueblos opens up play in the TOC against Cathedral Catholic, a team the Chargers beat earlier this season at the Cal Challenge in San Diego. That match starts at 12:45 on Friday at Santa Barbara High.
