Nicole Tetherow dished out 19 assists and notched four kills on Thursday, but it wasn’t enought to save the Bishop Diego girls volleyball team from a 25-11, 25-10, 25-18 loss at La Reina.
“They’re a good team, but we as a team played very lackluster volleyball,” said coach Erika Lilley, who praised Tetherow for showing good energy.
The Cardinals have been battling a flu all week which has left Lilley without two starting middle blockers.
Diana Sleep and Lauren Underwood each added six kills.
Bishop has three home matches next week, beginning with Nordhoff on Tuesday.
