Bishop Diego had the energy, but the Cardinals couldn’t match the firepower of La Reina and lost in three sets, 25-16, 25-13, 25-10, in a Tri-Valley League girls volleyball match on Tuesday.
“Their coach said we played with a lot of energy,” said Bishop coach Erika Lilley.
Makenna Hogue paced Bishop with nine kills, while Paige Sleep added four and five blocks. Setter Nicole Tetherow had 21 assists and two blocks.
The Cardinals (3-3, 1-3) play Nordhoff on Thursday.
