Grace Gail had eight kills as the Cate girls volleyball team swept Dunn in front of a big crowd on Saturday, 25-23, 25-15, 25-13.
Coach Greg Novak said that the bleachers were almost completely full due to it being the school’s centennial celebration.
“I think the girls were really pumped up and felt pressure to win because there were so many parents in the stands,” said Novak. “The entire team played really well.”
Cydney Pierce had six kills and Savannah Jones added five for the Rams (5-0, 2-0 Condor League), who play at Cornerstone Christian on Tuesday and Thacher on Wednesday.
