Jessica Domenichelli recorded her second hat trick in four games on Saturday, leading SBCC to a 3-1 women’s soccer victory over West Valley at the Ventura Invitational.
The freshman forward from El Dorado Hills has eight goals for the Vaqueros (3-0-1), including a four-goal flourish in the season opener. She scored in the 23rd minute on an assist from Alison Raack but West Valley tied it in the 38th.
Three minutes later, Domenichelli struck again, taking a through ball from Margot Valenzuela and beating the keeper for a 2-1 halftime lead. Domenichelli found the net for the third time in the 57th minute and Raack got her second assist.
“We started off well and dominated the entire game,” said coach John Sisterson. “We got stronger as the game went on. This team is forming a real bond and they could be something special.”
SBCC travels to Taft on Friday for a 1 p.m. game.
