Jordan Lund won the only singles set for San Marcos in a 14-4 non-league girls tennis loss to Valencia on Tuesday.
Lund’s victory was her first as a varsity player.
The doubles team of Parisa Fallahi and Liz Morris won two tough sets, 6-3, 7-6 (12), and were serving for the third set at 5-4 before eventually falling by a break, 7-5.
“Liz and Parisa both served well and were aggressive at the net,” coach Jarrod Bradley said. “They really played with confidence today and hit big shots under pressure in the most important points.”
The Royals fall to 0-2 while the Vikings improve to 2-0 on the season.
