San Marcos dominated Laguna Blanca in a non-league girls tennis match on Thursday, winning 18-0.
The Royals got strong play from Chloe Maassen at No. 3 singles and Ally Walters-Kimmie Pepitone at No. 1 doubles.
“Chloe hit her groundstrokes with authority and dictated points well,” said coach Jarrod Bradley. She swept all three of her sets at love.
“Ally and Kimmie served and returned well while also showing improved volleys and teamwork,” Bradley said. Ally and Kimmie won their two sets 6-3, 6-1.
The Royals improve to 5-3. They play at San Luis Obispo on Friday against the reigning Pac-7 league champions.
