Tyler Lisea scored eight times in two games for San Marcos on Friday but the boys water polo team dropped two matches at the Riverside Poly Tournament.
The Royals fell to Walnut 13-6 in the first match before getting taken 9-5 by Chaparral.
“Even though we lost both of our games today I see continued improvement in the team and am happy with our progress,” said Royals head coach Jeff Ashton.
San Marcos goalie Chris Bebb amassed 24 saves in the two matches while getting good support from James Sweeney on defense, according to Ashton.
