Brenna Geiger’s 11 aces were a thorn in Santa Clara’s side on Wednesday, helping Cate’s girls volleyball team come from behind in a 18-25, 25-22, 25-9, 25-16 non-league victory.
Geiger is the Rams’ setter and charged the rebound by leading the offense. Emma Birrell posted a team-high eight kills, Savannah Jones added eight and Cydney Pierce had six. Middle Grace Gail was a presence at the net with four blocks.
The Rams remained unbeaten at 2-0 with Malibu waiting next on the schedule.
