It was a late start to the season, but Cate’s girls volleyball team finally got it started on Wednesday with a 25-7, 25-10, 25-12 victory over Newbury Park Adventist.
Savannah Jones was the Rams’ leader in kills with eight while Addie Mayfield recorded six. Rams coach Greg Novak also noted the contributions from Erin Griffin and Annie Weis as difference-makers.
The victory takes the Rams into Saturday’s Carpinteria Tournament on a high note.
