Playing from the blue tees at Ocean Meadows Golf Course, Emily Fox fired a 4-over par 40 to lead Dos Pueblos to a 240-258 non-league girls golf win over Rio Mesa on Thursday.
“It was interesting experience,” DP coach Rob Schiff said of playing the longer distance. “This should help us when get into CIF play.”
Fox has been DP’s most consistent golfer, “which we need her to be,” said Schiff.
Vanesa Villa also shot in the 40s for the Chargers, firing a 44.
Rio Mesa got a 42 from Stephanie Hull and a 47 from Sam Blemkins.
Dos Pueblos improves to 3-2.
