Eve Ettinger posted 13 kills, 20 digs and three aces on Thursday night as Santa Barbara High’s girls volleyball team picked up an impressive sweep of No. 5 Thousand Oaks, 25-12, 25-21, 25-22.
“We looked great coming out of the gates tonight, “ said assistant coach Lee Carlander.
Dani Rottman had 10 kills, seven digs and a solo block while junior setter Kira Schleich dished out 41 assists. Schleich is in her first year as the lone setter for the Dons’ offense.

“She has a great on-court demeanor, and she still has lots of room to improve. I don’t know that we’re surprised, because we expected her to do well for us,” said Carlander.
Holland Crenshaw added eight kills and Katy Villanueva had nine for the Dons (3-1), who will play two matches up in San Jose on Friday night in the Archbishop Mitty Tournament, opening against Analy at 4 p.m.
