Carpinteria’s girls volleyball team stumbled at Dunn on Wednesday, getting tripped up in a 25-8, 21-25, 25-19, 25-22 victory for the Earwigs.
Meli muffon collected a team high eight kills for the Warriors, who also got a strong performance from middle Maddie Brooks with seven kills and three blocks.
“They have two players that do a pretty good job of keeping the ball in play and they serve tough,” said Carpinteria head coach Katie Dolge of Dunn.
The Warriors host Hueneme on Thursday before welcoming a bunch of schools on Saturday for their annual invitational.
