Alec Linz scored with 40 seconds remaining to lift Santa Barbara to an 8-7 win over Capo Valley in its final game at the South Coast water polo tournament.
Linz had three assists and two blocks in the game. Preston Schlagel and Evan Roberton each scored two goals to pace the offense.
Earlier, Santa Barbara routed Redlands 21-4. Peter Loomis and Zach Sklar scored three goals apiece, and Skyler Matthews dished out six assists and drew three ejections.
The Dons (7-3) return to Channel League play Tuesday at Buena.
