Jessica Domenichelli scored in the fifth minute on Friday afternoon at La Playa Stadium and Jaclyn Frankenberger had two assists on corner kicks, leading the SBCC women’s soccer team to a 3-1 victory over L.A. Harbor.
Domenichelli took a pass from Katherine Earle and beat the keeper in the upper left for her 11th goal of the year. The freshman from El Dorado Hills has scored in five straight games for the unbeaten Vaqueros (6-0-1), who‘ve won their last four by a combined score of 12-3.
Harbor tied the game in the 16th minute before Earle put the home team ahead to stay by heading in a corner from Frankenberger in the 34th minute. Seven minutes into the second half, Frankenberger set up Anne Dunne for a header that made it 3-1.
“Jaclyn was serving up some tremendous corners, every one was spot on,” said SBCC coach John Sisterson. “We could have had more (goals). The second half was much better than the first.”
Santa Barbara outshot the visitors 10-2 in the second half.
The Vaqueros open WSC play on Tuesday at Hancock.
