SBCC was playing its first women’s soccer game in 11 days on Tuesday but it didn’t look like it in a 13-0 victory at Hancock.
The unbeaten Vaqueros (7-0-1, 1-0) scored five goals in the first 14 minutes of the WSC opener in Santa Maria and led 10-0 at halftime on the way to a school-record 13 goals.
Morgan Crumpley recorded the first hat trick of her college career and Jessica Domenichelli, Ali Raack and Nicole Payne-Duhe had two goals apiece. Crumpley scored in the 14th, 46th and 54th minutes.
Domenichelli, the third-leading scorer in the state, has 13 goals in eight games. The Vaqueros, ranked 15th in Southern California, have outscored their opponents 34-6 this season.
Sara Tomas scored in the second minute, Domenichelli in the third and Margot Valenzuela in the fifth for a quick 3-0 lead. Jenna Rubin had three assists while Brittany Brennhofer had a goal and two assists.
The Vaqueros play host to Moorpark on Friday at 7 p.m. in La Playa Stadium.
