The second set of CIF polls were released on Monday for girls volleyball and boys water polo, showing no significant change for local Santa Barbara schools.
Laguna Blanca girls volleyball, which was No. 1 in Div. IV-AA preseason poll, fell three spots to No. 4 after losing in the quarterfinals of its own tournament on Saturday. Viewpoint stayed pat at No. 3 despite defeating the Owls on the way to the tournament title.
Santa Barbara High’s girls volleyball team also lost ground even though it has begun the season 2-0. The Dons, which face No. 10 Harvard-Westlake on Tuesday, slipped out of the top-10 in Division I-AA.

Dos Pueblos and Santa Barbara High maintained their top-10 positions in boys water polo. The No. 5 Chargers are 2-0 after a pair of wins over the weekend in San Diego while the Dons, tied for No. 10, lost their opener 10-6 at Mira Costa. Both schools play in Division I.
Also holding onto to its preseason ranking is the Carpinteria girls volleyball team, No. 5 in Div. IV-A.
