Santa Barbara High’s girls tennis team debuted in the CIF polls this week, showing up in the No. 3 spot of Division II.
The Dons claimed two Channel League victories last week and added a 10-8 win at D-I No. 7 Harvard-Westlake on Wednesday.
The other ranked team in the area, Cate, retained its No. 1 position in Division IV.

In girls volleyball, the Dons moved up to No. 7 in Div. I-AA. It’s the highest Santa Barbara’s been so far this season.
Laguna Blanca is No. 4 in Div. IV-AA for another week after recording a runner-up finish at the Carpinteria Invitational on Saturday.
Dos Pueblos and Santa Barbara are top-10 teams in water polo’s Division I. The Dons moved ahead of Channel League foe Ventura for the first time this season while the Chargers have been locked in at No. 5 all of September.
