Bishop Diego dropped its opening girls tennis match of the season to Villanova 16-2 on Thursday at the Santa Barbara Municipal Courts.
The match also was the Frontier League opener for the Cardinals. Emilee Kraelin and Yue Cui scored the only set wins for the home team.
