It was a sweep, but Bishop Diego’s girls volleyball loss at mighty Oak Park on Tuesday was a positive thing for the Cardinals.
“We played amazing, not to mention it was 110 degrees in that gym,” said coach Erika Lilley. “We had them on their heels by the end, and we were really pleased with how we played.”
Game scores were 2-15, 25-22, 29-27. Maddie Ballard had four aces with 22 digs and Nicole Tetherow dished out 28 assists to go along with four kills. Diana Sleep had a team-high seven kills and sister Paige Sleep had four kills with four block assists.
The Cardinals are now 4-4 overall and 1-1 in the Tri-Valley League.
